Banks
Ally Financial – I use their online savings account for my emergency fund.
Credit Union – I use a local credit union as my primary bank and for the mortgage on my home.
Credit Cards
Citi Custom Cash: I use this card exclusively for dining. This card gives you 5% cash back on the category that you spend the most in your billing cycle up to $500.
Chase Freedom (now called Freedom Flex): I use this card for its 5% rotating categories. January – March 2023 the bonus categories are Grocery Stores, Target, and Gym Memberships. You can receive 5% cash back on up to $1500 in quarterly purchases that meet the criteria.
Discover Cash Back: I use this card for its 5% rotating categories. January – March 2023 the bonus categories are Grocery Stores, Drug Stores, and Select Streaming Services. You can receive 5% cash back on up to $1500 in quarterly purchases that meet the criteria.
Chase Sapphire Preferred (CSP): I use this card for all other spending that I do. I enjoy using this card for its travel perks. The CSP makes your credit card points worth 25% when redeemed through Chase Ultimate Rewards.
Brokerage
Fidelity: I use Fidelity for its range of product offerings. I utilize the following account types:
- Individual Brokerage
- Roth IRA
- HSA
- Corporate Brokerage
I love Fidelity for its transparency, technology, and high-yielding money market funds.
Robinhood: I use Robinhood purely for fun and to invest in Crypto. It has best-in-class reporting for crypto transactions which makes taxes very simple.
